Symphonies no. 9
Album by Anton Bruckner & Berliner Philharmoniker & Herbert von Karajan
Symphony No. 9 is the ninth symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, composed in 1896. The work is a late-Romantic orchestral symphony characterised by dense harmonies, expansive developmental processes and prominent brass writing, and as Bruckner's final, unfinished symphony it occupies a pivotal place in his output and in the development of late-Romantic symphonic music.
