Symphony No. 6 is the sixth symphony by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, completed in 1904. The work is a large-scale late-Romantic symphony characterised by dramatic contrasts, dense orchestration, recurring motifs and prominent percussive hammer blows, reflecting Mahler's mature symphonic language and occupying a central place in his middle-period output.
