Billy The Kid / Rodeo
Album by Aaron Copland & New York Philharmonic & Leonard Bernstein
Billy the Kid / Rodeo is a recording of ballet music by the American composer Aaron Copland, drawn from works he composed in 1938 and 1942. The pieces use open, folk-inspired orchestral textures, syncopated dance rhythms and evocative Americana, and they mark a shift towards the distinctly American, more accessible orchestral style that characterised Copland's mid-career output.
