Symphonies nos. 38 & 41
Album by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart & Ensemble orchestral de Paris & Armin Jordan
Symphonies Nos. 38 and 41 are orchestral works by Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composed in 1787 and 1788 respectively. Representing the late Classical style, they employ expansive orchestral textures, strong contrasts of mood and dynamics and sophisticated contrapuntal writing, with the latter concluding in a prominent fugal section that exemplifies Mozart's late symphonic technique.
