Symphonies Nos. 1 and 2 are orchestral works by Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, composed in 1866–1868 and 1872 respectively. The music blends Romantic melodic lyricism with varied orchestral colour and dramatic gestures, marking early milestones in Tchaikovsky's career as he developed his symphonic voice and expanded the expressive range of Russian symphonic writing.
