Catalogue d'oiseaux is a cycle of solo piano pieces by French composer Olivier Messiaen, composed between 1956 and 1958. The works combine transcribed birdsong with Messiaen's modal harmonies, additive rhythms and richly textured piano writing to evoke particular landscapes and times of day, reflecting a mid-career focus on ornithology and colour in his compositional practice.
