Alexander's Feast or The Power of Musick is an ode by George Frideric Handel, first performed in 1736. Musically it is a Baroque choral ode that uses solo arias, choir and orchestra with direct word painting and varied instrumental passages, and it follows Handel's return to English choral writing after his Italian opera period.
