String Quartet No. 15 in D minor, K. 421 is the fifteenth string quartet by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composed in 1783. Composed during his mature Vienna period as one of the set dedicated to Joseph Haydn, the quartet exemplifies Classical-era chamber music through its minor-key intensity, contrapuntal textures and close interplay between lyrical and agitated passages, and it occupies an important place among his later chamber works.
