The album blends contemporary acoustic jazz with world-music rhythmic textures, emphasising interactive trio interplay, improvisation and lyrical melodic focus, and represents a continuation of DeJohnette's exploration of ensemble-driven, rhythmically adventurous jazz in his later career.
