L'orgue mystique is a cycle of organ suites by French composer Charles Tournemire, composed between 1927 and 1932. Drawing on Gregorian chant and the French symphonic organ tradition, the music uses modal harmonies, expansive registrations and improvisatory textures intended for liturgical use, and it occupies a prominent place in Tournemire's later output as a synthesis of Romantic organ practice and early twentieth-century liturgical composition.
