A Sea Symphony (No. 1)
Album by Ralph Vaughan Williams & Bryden Thomson & London Symphony Orchestra & London Symphony Chorus
A Sea Symphony is the first symphony by English composer Ralph Vaughan Williams, completed and first performed in 1910. The choral symphony combines a large orchestra and chorus in expansive, maritime-inspired music that blends modal and folk-influenced harmonies with broad melodic writing, and it represents Vaughan Williams's first major orchestral statement in early 20th-century British music.

First released: August 1989
