The Rite of Spring and Petrushka are ballets composed by Igor Stravinsky, premiered in 1913 and 1911 respectively. Both works are characterised by bold rhythmic innovation, dissonant harmonies and novel orchestration, marking a turning point in Stravinsky's output and in the development of early 20th-century music.
