Piano Quartets Nos. 2 and 3 are chamber works by Johannes Brahms, completed in 1861 and 1875 respectively. They exemplify Brahms's Romantic-era chamber style, combining lyrical piano writing and rich string textures with classical forms and contrapuntal complexity, and they trace his development from the songlike warmth of his middle period to the more intense, dramatic language of his later chamber output.
