The Cave

Album by Steve Reich

The Cave is a 1993 video opera by American composer Steve Reich. The work blends Reich's minimalist techniques—repetitive rhythmic cells, phasing and steady pulse—with recorded speech, sampled voices, live ensemble and multimedia, and marks a continuation of his exploration of speech melody and documentary material in his later career.
