Symphony No. 7 is the seventh symphony by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, completed in 1905. The work is a large-scale late-Romantic orchestral piece characterised by expanded orchestration, contrasting nocturnal and scherzo-like sections and a move toward more ambiguous tonal language, placing it in Mahler's middle-to-late output where he pursued greater exploration of orchestral colour and formal experimentation.
