Firm Roots is an album by American jazz pianist Cedar Walton, released in 1974. The music is rooted in hard bop and post-bop, with blues-inflected melodies, tight ensemble playing and extended solos, and it comes during a period in Walton's career when he concentrated on small-group acoustic jazz that balanced composed themes with improvisation.
