Symphony No. 3 is the third symphony by Johannes Brahms, completed and first performed in 1883. A late-Romantic orchestral work in F major, it combines a classical four-movement structure with rich orchestral colour, lyrical motifs and motivic cohesion, and represents a mature statement in Brahms's symphonic output within 19th-century musical practice.
