Preludes, Op. 23 / Cinq morceaux de fantaisie, Op. 3 is a collection of solo piano works by Sergei Rachmaninov, composed and published in 1903 and 1892 respectively. The pieces exemplify late-Romantic piano writing with rich, sweeping melodies, dense harmonies and virtuosic demands, and together they trace Rachmaninov's development from his early expressive style to the more mature, expansive voice that would define his later output.
