Symphony no. 6 in B minor "Pathétique"

Symphony No. 6 in B minor, 'Pathétique' is the sixth and final completed symphony by Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, composed and premiered in 1893. A late-Romantic orchestral work characterised by sweeping melodies, rich orchestral colour, dramatic contrasts and an unconventional structure culminating in a slow, lamenting finale, it represents the culmination of Tchaikovsky's symphonic writing and his experimentation with form.
