Symphony No. 3 is a symphony by Polish composer Henryk Górecki, composed in 1976 and first performed in 1977. The work is characterised by slow tempos, spare orchestration and a prominent solo soprano voice set against modal harmonies and repetitive, chant-like motifs, and it marks Górecki's mid-1970s turn towards simpler, sacred-inspired musical language within his career.
