Brandenburg Concertos and Orchestral Suites are collections of instrumental works by Johann Sebastian Bach, composed between 1717 and 1721. They draw on baroque concerto grosso and suite forms, with contrasted solo and ensemble textures, clear counterpoint, dance movements and varied instrumentation, and they come from a period in Bach's career when he refined his writing for chamber and orchestral forces.
