This release is a recording of two secular cantatas by German-British composer Georg Friedrich Händel, dating from around 1709–1710. The pieces exemplify Handel's early Italianate vocal style, featuring expressive solo writing and modest chamber forces that mark a transition between his cantata output and his later operatic and dramatic compositions.
