Catalogue d'oiseaux is a cycle of solo piano pieces by French composer Olivier Messiaen, completed in 1958. The work uses transcriptions of bird song alongside complex rhythmic modes and distinctive harmonic colouring to create highly descriptive, programme-like soundscapes that mark a mature phase in his post-war output and exemplify his sustained exploration of ornithological themes within 20th-century French modernism.
