Album by Scott Joplin & The Paragon Ragtime Orchestra & Rick Benjamin

The work blends ragtime rhythms with late-Romantic and early twentieth-century operatic forms, reflecting Joplin's intent to present African-American musical idioms within a full-length staged composition and occupying a distinctive place in his output and in early twentieth-century American music history.
