Symphony No. 2 "Resurrection" is the second symphony by Austrian composer Gustav Mahler, completed in 1894. Spanning large orchestral and choral forces and blending late-Romantic harmony with dramatic shifts in mood and texture, it occupies a pivotal place in Mahler's output and contributed to the expansion of scale and expressive range in late-Romantic symphonic writing.
