Symphony No. 3 is the third symphony by Polish composer Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, composed in 1976. Musically it is a choral symphony for soprano and orchestra characterised by slow tempi, spare modal harmonies and simple, hymn-like melodies, and it occupies a pivotal place in Górecki's career as a move towards a more tonal, plaintive style drawing on Polish religious and historical texts.
