Mein Vaterland
Album by Bedřich Smetana & Staatskapelle Dresden & Paavo Berglund
Má vlast (German: Mein Vaterland) is a cycle of six symphonic poems by Czech composer Bedřich Smetana, composed between 1874 and 1879. The music evokes Bohemian landscapes and folk-derived motifs through rich orchestral colour and thematic transformation, and it serves as a late-career culmination of Smetana's nationalistic writing with an important place in Czech musical history.
