Orchesterstücke
Album by Anton Webern & Arnold Schönberg & Alban Berg & Berliner Philharmoniker & James Levine
Orchesterstück (Op. 6) is an orchestral work by Austrian composer Anton Webern, composed in 1909. The work bridges late-Romantic orchestral writing and early atonality, employing concise, pointillistic textures, sparse orchestration and an economy of motif that presage Webern's later serial techniques and reflect an early development within the Second Viennese School.
