Flute and Harp Concerto
Album by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart & Jonathan Snowden & London Philharmonic Orchestra & Charles Mackerras & Andrew Litton
The Concerto for Flute and Harp in C major, K. 299, is a double concerto by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composed and first performed in 1778. The work exemplifies Classical-era clarity and balance, with lyrical, conversational writing for the two solo instruments set against a modest orchestral accompaniment, and it occupies a distinctive place in Mozart's output as one of his few concertos to feature the harp from his Paris period.
