Babel is the soundtrack album by Argentine composer Gustavo Santaolalla, released in 2006. The music combines sparse acoustic guitar, Latin American folk motifs and ambient, minimalist textures to support the film's multilingual narratives, and it represents a continuation of Santaolalla's move toward intimate, guitar-based cinematic scoring that characterised his work in the 2000s.
