Free Jazz

Free Jazz is an album by American saxophonist Ornette Coleman and his Double Quartet, released in 1961. It has a single continuous composition performed by two simultaneous quartets that create dense polyphonic textures through collective improvisation and extended soloing, and it was an early example of the free jazz approach in Coleman's recorded output.
