Gianni Schicchi

Gianni Schicchi is a one-act opera by Italian composer Giacomo Puccini, premiered in 1918 as part of his Il trittico. The work blends Puccini's late-Romantic melodic style with brisk comic pacing, characterised by colourful orchestration and concise dramatic writing, and occupies a distinctive place in his late output as his principal comic piece.
