La Transfiguration de Notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ is a large-scale oratorio by French composer Olivier Messiaen, completed in 1969. The work blends Messiaen's modal harmonies, complex rhythms, vivid orchestral colour and extended choral and solo writing to explore a religious narrative, representing a late-period synthesis of his spiritual concerns and timbral and rhythmic innovations.
