Lachrimæ
Album by John Dowland & Nigel North & Les Voix humaines
Lachrimæ, or Seaven Teares, is a collection of lute songs and instrumental pieces by the English Renaissance composer John Dowland, published in 1604. The music is characterised by melancholic modal melodies and intricate lute counterpoint, and it reflects Dowland's mature style within the late Elizabethan consort and lute traditions.
First released: April 2018
