Powerplay is a studio album by Panamanian-American drummer Billy Cobham, released in 1979. Musically it blends jazz fusion with funk and rock elements, with electric guitars and synthesisers alongside forceful drum arrangements, and it arrived after Cobham moved from larger ensemble projects toward more compact, rock-influenced fusion recordings.
