Album by Gerry Mulligan
Re-Birth of the Cool is a studio album by American jazz saxophonist Gerry Mulligan, released in 1958. The album uses cool jazz textures with airy horn voicings, contrapuntal lines and subdued swing rhythms, and it follows Mulligan's earlier work with pianoless ensembles as he returned to that approach in his career.
