Symphonies nos. 40 & 41 “Jupiter”
Album by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart & Bamberger Symphoniker & Joseph Keilberth
Symphonies Nos. 40 & 41 "Jupiter" are two symphonies by Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, completed in 1788. Musically they exemplify the late Classical symphonic style through concentrated yet vivid orchestration, heightened harmonic tension and increased contrapuntal complexity, and they are among Mozart's final symphonic statements, illustrating his advanced command of form, harmony and orchestral colour.
