The Early Years: 1968: Germin/ation is a compilation release by English rock band Pink Floyd, issued in 2016 as part of their The Early Years 1965–1972 series. It collects psychedelic and experimental rock recordings from 1968, documenting the band's transition from Syd Barrett-era pop-psychedelia toward more expansive, improvisational and progressive textures that presaged their later work.
