The Smile Sessions is a compilation album by American rock band The Beach Boys, released in 2011. The release assembles session recordings from the band's mid-1960s Smile project, highlighting experimental studio techniques, modular composition approaches, dense vocal harmonies and orchestral textures that signalled a departure from their earlier surf-pop sound and occupy a distinctive place in their career and 1960s popular music history.
