Symphonies nos. 7, 8 & 9 "New World"
Album by Antonín Dvořák & Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest & London Symphony Orchestra & Sir Colin Davis
Symphonies nos. 7, 8 and 9 is a set of symphonies by Czech composer Antonín Dvořák, composed between 1884 and 1893. They show Dvořák's late Romantic orchestral style with rich string textures, prominent wind writing and rhythms taken from Czech folk music, and the Ninth uses musical elements he encountered while he was in the United States.
