Symphonie No. 9
Album by Anton Bruckner & Wiener Philharmoniker & Carlo Maria Giulini
Symphony No. 9 in D minor is the final symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, left unfinished at his death in 1896. The work exemplifies late-Romantic orchestration with expansive structures, dense contrapuntal textures and dramatic brass and string writing, and its unfinished finale has prompted later completions and sustained scholarly attention within the symphonic repertoire.
