Symphony No. 4 in E-flat major, known as the 'Romantic', is a symphony by Austrian composer Anton Bruckner, completed in 1874. The work is characterised by expansive orchestration, prominent brass chorales, sweeping symphonic architecture and pastoral and medieval-tinged themes, and it represents a mature statement in Bruckner's symphonic output as he consolidated his large-scale structural and harmonic language.
