Piano Concertos nos. 1 & 2
Album by Fryderyk Chopin & Krystian Zimerman & Polish Festival Orchestra
Piano Concertos Nos. 1 & 2 are two piano concertos by Polish composer Frédéric Chopin, composed in 1830 and 1829 respectively. They are Romantic-era concertos characterised by lyrical, pianistic writing and virtuosic solo passages set against a relatively restrained orchestral accompaniment, and they represent some of Chopin's earliest large-scale works that helped establish his reputation as a composer-pianist.
