Symphonien Nos. 8 & 9 is a recording of orchestral works by Austrian composer Franz Schubert, composed in 1822 and 1828. They are large-scale early Romantic symphonies with lyrical melodies and broad orchestral textures, the Eighth remaining incomplete while the Ninth has expansive themes that point to later developments in the Romantic symphony.
