The Cunning Little Vixen is an opera by Czech composer Leoš Janáček, premiered in 1924. The opera uses folk-influenced melodies and modal harmony within a richly orchestrated score to portray rural life and animal characters, and it is part of Janáček's late-period work in which he uses speech-derived motifs and moves toward concise, rhythm-driven forms.
