The Blue Danube
Album by Johann Strauss & Nemzeti Filharmonikus zenekar
The Blue Danube is a waltz by Austrian composer Johann Strauss II, first performed in 1867. The work exemplifies the Viennese waltz tradition with flowing melodies, rich orchestration and a multi-section dance structure, and it occupies a central place in Strauss's output and in nineteenth-century dance repertoire.
