4 Improvisations (Duets) 2004 is an album of duet improvisations by American composer and multi-instrumentalist Anthony Braxton, released in 2004. The recordings explore free jazz and avant-garde improvisation, emphasising spontaneous interplay, extended techniques and sparse textures, and serve as a continuation of Braxton's longstanding exploration of structured improvisation and duo formats in his later career.
