Concerto for Orchestra is an orchestral work by Hungarian composer Béla Bartók, composed in 1943. The work combines modernist harmonies, folk-derived rhythms and colours with highly virtuosic, often sectional orchestration that alternates between full-ensemble textures and prominent solo passages, and it is one of the large-scale late-period works Bartók composed during his American years.
