Le Villi

Le Villi is an opera by Italian composer Giacomo Puccini, premiered in 1884. The short, early work is in the late Romantic idiom with lyrical vocal lines, rich orchestration and traces of verismo and folk influence, and it is Puccini's first staged opera that shows the melodic approach he used in later works.
