Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op. 73 is the second symphony by German composer Johannes Brahms, completed in 1877. Rooted in the late-Romantic German orchestral tradition, it features warm, lyrical themes, buoyant rhythms and rich, transparent orchestration, representing a consolidation of Brahms's symphonic technique following his First Symphony.
